At the beginning of June, Beckhoff headquarters in Verl, Germany returned to normal working life with the first, cautious loosening of safety measures. Under strict hygiene conditions, production was transferred back to single-shift operation and 50 percent of the employees were able to return to their office workplaces. As a result of the current development of COVID-19 infection incidents in the Gütersloh district, the company is now once again introducing its safety precautions, which were valid until the end of May, to protect its employees and keep its business fully operational. In concrete terms, this means that since the middle of last week, 80 percent of all employees working at the Verl headquartes have again been returned to their home offices. Production has again been switched to two-shift operation and thus separated in terms of space and time. With these measures, the company is ensuring that it will continue to be able to deliver 100 percent and supply its customers worldwide with all the products they need. "We are glad that no infection has occurred in our company so far as a result of our measures, and we continue to do everything in our power to protect our employees and customers in the best possible way and thus at the same time contribute to containing the spread of the virus," says managing director Hans Beckhoff, explaining the renewed introduction of the increased protective measures in his company.
